Here she comes, Miss USA 2012 Olivia Culpo. The 20-year-old Miss Rhode Island walked away from the Miss USA pageant with top honors on Sunday after impressing judges with her body (the swimsuit competition), and her mind.

In the interview portion of the competition, Culpo, who is an active Twitter user, was asked a tough question from another Twitter user: "Would you feel it would be fair that a transgender woman wins the Miss USA title over a natural-born woman?"

Culpo handled the question with aplomb. "I do think that that would be fair, but I can understand that people would be a little apprehensive to take that road because there is a tradition of natural-born women, but today where there are so many surgeries and so many people out there who have a need to change for a happier life, I do accept that because I believe it's a free country."

On Monday morning, Culpo's Twitter feed was filled with updates as she made her way to New York. She wrote: "@MissUSA airport time!! En route to NYC with @MissTeenUSA and @MissUniverse :))) #NewYorkCity." For those curious about her airport eating habits the new Miss USA posted a picture of herself digging in at Cinnabon. Who says you can't have your stickybun and eat it, too?

Piranha 3DD Swims To Facebook VOD

If you’re tired of browsing through your friends’ boring status and annoying baby pictures, you can now watch some seriously pissed-off fish tear through some lakegoers in 3D without even having to leave Facebook.
That’s because today, Piranha 3DD becomes the first ever 3D film to be offered on demand via Facebook. The 3D VOD experience comes to you courtesy of a partnership between Starz Digital Media and social entertainment company Milyoni.
The movie will run you $7.99 for the 3D version, $6.99 if you opt for plain HD. You can use Facebook credits, PayPal, or a credit card to make the purchase. Once you buy it, you’ll have 30 days to watch it.
You can either use your own 3D glasses, or construct some via information provided by Milyoni after you make your purchase.
“Fans of the Piranha franchise are in for a ‘feeding frenzy’ of viewing options, with so many opportunities and ways to enjoy the campy and thrilling sequel,” said Mara Winokur, senior vice president of digital media distribution at Starz Media and lead executive at Starz Digital Media. “We have been looking at experimenting in the premium VOD space; Piranha 3DD provided the perfect title in terms of genre and installed fan base. Adding in the first-ever Facebook 3D option gives viewers even more control over how and when they watch the movie, and is a logical extension of the premium VOD experience.”
The Facebook viewing experience comes enveloped in a 3D VOD app that allows users to not only watch the film but to chat with their friends and share clips and still images as well.

After the terror unleashed on Lake Victoria in PIRANHA 3D, the pre-historic school of blood thirsty piranhas are back. This time, no one is safe from the flesh eating fish as they sink their razor sharp teeth into the visitors of summer’s best attraction, The Big Wet Water Park.
The film stars Christopher Lloyd, David Hasselhoff, Gary Busey, Paul Scheer, and returns “partially devoured” Ving Rhames. If you don’t want to go through Facebook, it’s also available on iTunes and Amazon as well as select theaters.
